This is a graphical Windows (Win32) alert display screen system for viewing
active alerts in Level Platforms' Service Center.
The goal is to create a visually and audibly appealing alert viewer. Primarily aimed for use in a large-screen, wall-mount situation so multiple technicians can easily check the status of customers' networks, but works just as well at the desktop!
Features:
- Site Icons showing site info like company name (hover for contact info), number of alerts, time since most recent alert.
- The big Total Alert box will fade to Green if the total number of alerts went down since last check, and Red if they went up (White = no change).
- Downed sites get a red border and show flames; so you know there's trouble.
- Sites with downed websites will get a yellow border.
- Optional audio alerts (Click a Site Icon to mute it's siren.)
- Alert Graph of last 25 check-ins (both current site and total).
- Hover-over Windows hints have been enlarged to act as magnifier (adjustable).
- Grid columns are resizable via their headers (all grids resize in unison).
- Grid row heights are adjustable via main menu (includes font scaling).
- Alert filtering.
- Magnifying glass (F1).
- Most/all objects have descriptive hints.
- The SQL queries are threaded (away from interface).
- Accesses data directly from SQL, and is not dependant on the SC service.
- Skinned for eye-candy.
- Single-file existance, no registry usage.
- Heavily leak-checked.
- Settings, including window positions, are saved when you click "Save" and on exit. They are saved to an .INI file in the SoxNOC.exe folder.
- Internal error reporting, if there is an error it will give you the option to email the info to us for investigation.
